Is now a good time to treat for peach leaf curl??

Asked February 20, 2020, 8:18 AM EST

I have a peach tree and sour cherry tree. Can I spray or do some other treatment for peach leaf curl? Last spring, the peach tree had very bad peach curl. The cherry tree was ok, but had something sticky and crusty on the leaves 1st 1/2 of season I’m in Portland- zone 8 I think; trees are sunny location all day.

Yes. But we do recommend applications starting in the fall at leaf drop. Good time now as the buds begin to swell. You may be late as we have some blooming already. Have a look here for materials and schedules:

As for the cherry, there is too little information to figure out what the problem might be.
