Thank you for your question. Is this variety to which you are referring: http://nativeplantspnw.com/blackcap-raspberry-rubus-leucodermis/ Why are you wanting to replace them? Thanks!

I want to keep getting fruit each year and don't know if blackcap bushes finally get too old to bear.

With proper care, black raspberry canes can continue fruiting for 5-12 years. Here are some care tips: https://catalog.extension.oregonstate.edu/ec1306/html And https://courses.washington.edu/esrm412/protocols/RULE.pdf

Thank you for your answer. I still have a few years that they should be okay. One of my favorite browsing berries!!

Welcome! Take care of them, and they'll feed you for a long while! Good luck!
