Kousa dogwood loosing bark

My 15 year old kousa dogwood is loosing bark
Wayne County Michigan
Kousa dogwoods naturally lose their bark with time. It is one of the interesting features about this plant. As the plant ages, pieces of the bark fall off to create a somewhat "camouflage" appearance to the bark. Please take a look at the images at the following link or do an internet search for "Kousa Dogwood Bark" and see if what you're observing looks similar. https://mountauburn.org/kousa-dogwood-cornus-kousa/#gallery-9.
If you're not certain, please reply to this email along with an uploaded image of your tree bark and I'd be happy to take a look at it.
