Ground cover berries in the Woods
We think this looks like Euonymus fortunei, also known as winter creeper.
Unfortunately, it is an invasive plant of concern.
We don't know if birds eat it, but it's likely they do and help to disperse the seeds into natural areas. It is often found, not as a groundcover but as a vine that climbs trees. It will likely creep until it finds something upright to climb. In both cases, it outcompetes and displaces our natural flora.
