How do I prune an autograph. I have 2 in pots on each side of the garage and they would look better a little smaller.

You should pruned them once a year in early spring, just before they begin vigorous growth for the year. You'll be able to manage the shape and size better. The Clusia rosea wants to grow multiple stems, but unless you want it as a screening plant, you will want to remove the prop roots hanging down, as well as suckers coming up from the soil. You can train it to look like a single trunk tree by choosing a single strong vertical branch and trimming it along the lower portion.
