Locating a Fiduciary that's a specialist in retirement planning

Asked December 3, 2019, 7:57 PM EST

I'm trying to locate a CFP Fiduciary who's work is 90% retirement planning and accepts clients with $50,000 to $75,000 I live in Farmington HIlls MI 48334. It appears the vast majority of retirement planning advisors prefer clients with $200,000 or more. I have devoted my life to being an educator. Since I'm not wealthy it's essential that I grow the money I have in the most effective way possible. Is there a site or a list that's reputable and vetted to locate this specific type of financial advisor? Thank you for your assistance.

Choosing an investment professional is an important decision. You will have to search for a CFP in your area; https://www.letsmakeaplan.org/?utm_source=LMAP&utm_medium=header&utm_content=homepage&ut... may help you locate them. We cannot recommend one. The Investor.gov website https://www.investor.gov/additional-resources/news-alerts/alerts-bulletins/investor-bulletin-top-tip... has an updated Investor Bulletin provides a few key tips to help you make a well-informed choice. A number of questions you should consider asking before you hire an investment professional are in our investor bulletin “Questions to Ask When Hiring an Investment Professional.” Should you have any questions for us, feel free to call the toll-free investor assistance line at 1-800-SEC-0330 or use the online question web form at https://www.sec.gov/oiea/QuestionsAndComments.html.
