Hello,
There are a couple of ways you could create a vertical planting along a fence. If there is open soil on the outside of the fence, you could consider planting in the ground some vines that would climb up the fence. If the area outside the fence is paved, you might be able to fit a series of planters and grow vines or other types of plants of your choice. What type of sun exposure and moisture does the area receive? Do you want plants climbing on and among the fence or do you want the plants to be off of the fence and still provide screening? Do you want evergreen cover year-round or would you be okay having deciduous plants that lose their leaves in the fall? Do you want flowering plants or just foliage? Those are a few questions you would need to consider. We would be happy to make some plant suggestions if you can provide further information and photos of the site.
