Most spider bites appear as tiny, red bumps on your skin that are sometimes painful and itchy. A few people do have allergic reactions to spider bites. That might include swelling at the bite mark or around your face, itching over a larger area and even trouble breathing. If any of these more serious symptoms occur, seek medical attention.

Write down the date of when you noticed the bite. If it gets worse or if your symptoms change, that will be one of the questions you're asked to help identify the spider or cause.

Many other things can bite you, including ticks, bedbugs, fleas, mosquitoes and many more. Depending on your situation, it might be another insect that bit you.
