Fruit flies

Asked November 1, 2019, 1:36 PM EDT

I am still having issues with fruit flies. How can I get rid of them. They started late this last summer but there are a few still buzzing around even though it snowed last night! Help! Thanks

Fruit flies can be a year-round issue, as they are able to survive on decomposing or ripe fruits and vegetables. Emptying the kitchen trash regularly, checking for spilled liquids, and home-made traps using cider apple vinegar should help reduce their occurence.
