Food source

I have a ghost mantis. I would like to know if Larder beetle larvae is a good food source. I have researched the Larder beetle but have not been able to find anything on this particular subject.. I am currently growing the Larder beetles and there larvae using cat food as their staple.

I don't see why they would be a bad food source from a nutritional stand point. I don't think larder beetle larvae are chemically defended, so if the mantis can deal with the long hairs, it should do alright eating them.
