What animal did this to my henhouse? We were wondering so we can figure out how to best shore up the house. We have coyotes, foxes, raccoons, and occasionally bobcats but have never had anything do this, which seems really odd as it has been on this property since July.

I'm not sure I can give you a good answer. My first thought was domestic dog, but I think any of the wild canids (coyote, fox) or the bobcat could scratch like this. I don't think raccoons will scratch like this. They might pull at the covering, but would be more likely to bend it and slip through the hole. Sorry I'm not more help. Probably with any of those predators, you'll want to reinforce the doors to keep them from getting in.
