Trees for Property Line

Asked October 14, 2019, 4:29 PM EDT

I need 3 or 4 trees to put on my property line. They will face west and in the winter it can be somewhat windy. They should be fast growing, base 3' to 5",; height 12' to 18' at maturity; dark green foliage and green year round. Single trunk. Possibly Arborvitae

Somerset County Maryland plant selection arborvitae normal growth trees green emerald arborvitae

The Green Emerald arborvitae would be a good match for height and width. It has a moderate growth rate. Keep it watered spring through fall and topdress with compost for optimum growth.

While Leyland cypress are faster growing, they are much too tall and do not have a root system able to withstand strong winds.
