What to do with all these pine needles
Allow needles that fall to remain in place as a mulch for the pine, but no more than about several inches. Keep away from the base of the trunks.
Extra needles can be raked off and used as a mulch around other plants in ornamental beds. Pine needles are attractive, decompose slowly, resist compaction, and are easy to work with. They are often available commercially or are free if you have pine trees on your property.
