100 ft pine trees

Asked September 30, 2019, 3:31 PM EDT

I have about 38 60-100 ft tall pine trees in the front yard (my parents refused to cut them) I want to thin them but I’m fearful of affecting the wind currents between the trees. I don’t want to cause any to fall on the house or power lines. How can I determine which are the ones to cut out first?

Hello, and thanks for using the Ask an Expert System,

I recommend that you contact a local certified arborist in your area. These experts can give you advice on which, if any, trees to remove while protecting the rest of the stand.
