Meyer Lemon Tree
The fertilizer I use for my Meyer lemon tree, which is in a large pot, recommends fertilizing from February to August. I bring the tree into my garage with a grow light and it seems to do well and often flowers. Should I continue to fertilize it throughout the winter?

Thank you for your question. If your efforts, by providing light and heat, are ‘encouraging’ photosynthesis, then, yes, your tree needs ongoing fertilization. Were it a plant that survives outdoors in our climate and/or is deciduous, you would not need or want to add supplemental fertilizer. Follow fertilizer label instructions; be sure the container is well-draining, and check often for insects. Good luck!
