Dogwood trees in Anne Arundel County

Asked September 26, 2019, 11:24 AM EDT

There seems to be an early drying of dogwood leaves in our neighborhood. All of my dozen or so trees in different areas of our yard look like they are dying. Is this a blight in the county or state-wide?

Anne Arundel County Maryland drought trees dogwood drying out

It has been super dry. Much of Maryland has been in a period of drought for the last 8 weeks, and it is showing up in the premature color and crisping of tree leaves.

Giving them a long slow drink won't revive the leaves but will help the trees going into winter.
