Brown arborvitae

I planted arborvitae anlut two years ago we have had a hot summer and the arborvitae have yturned brown is there anything i can do to save them some of my older arborvitae have turned brown also

Unfortunately, the brown tissue of these evergreens will not revive. If you cut the brown areas out, is the plant still attractive? If not you may choose to replace them.

We had so much rain in 2018 through June of 2019 along with immediate drought that has continued to the present. Many plants in the Metro-Louisville area have been affected. Continue to water deeply (approx 8 inches down) if we go 7 days with out a soaking rain.
