Tying up a plumeria
Do I need to tie up my plumerias?
San Diego County California
If it is growing in a windy spot or for some reason is especially prone to breaking (extra heavy flowers, weaker stem growth etc.) then tying it (like any plant) would be a good idea. If it is a young plant tying it up might help it get established, but when it is mature it won't need the support any longer. It's very dependent on the particular age, location, and other factors. But if you feel it is vulnerable then you should tie it up.
