Hello, This caterpillar has been found hanging and climbing from a single web strand on I believe an oak tree and various other areas of the wooded yard. Can you help identify this?

Those are probably the caterpillars of the banded tussock moth, Halysidota tessellaris. They feed on many hardwood trees and shrubs. Typically not numerous enough to pose any sort of pest problem. They are in the tiger moth family, Arctiidae.
