summer heat

every year the grass in a 1,000 sq. ft. area dies when the extreme summer heat comes. I have it aerated and reseeded only to have it die in the nex t July or August. Planted lesco tall fescue select in the lawn most area it cme up after 20 days. the heat effected area is still waitng.

You might try taking a soil sample of that area to see if there is something different about that soil. You also might try tilling the area to loosen it up more than core aeration will do. Tall fescue is the most drought tolerant cool season grass we can grow in Delaware. I don't have another solution for you other than what I have suggested and watering that area during the hot, dry summer months.
