Mosquitoes

What is the best way to rid my yard of mosquitoes. I have no standing water. Will dragon fly’s help? If so how do I attract them to my yard. Thanks. Marde Gillespie

Hi - The best way to deal with mosquitoes is to reduce sources of standing water around your property, as you have noted. Keep in mind, however, that your neighbors would have to do the same. Dragonflies need water (a pond) to support their life cycle, so we would not recommend that approach, as it would introduce a new standing water source. The next best thing to do would be to use personal repellants when you are outside to prevent bites.
