Plant identification is this edible
It looks like you have some type of Hawthorn. I am unable to tell which one it is - do you know if is in a naturalized area or if it was planted as an ornamental? There are cultivars used in landscapes as well as native hawthorns. The link below has more information about the different hawthorns in our area:
Hawthorn fruit is not poisonous, however not all types of hawthorn have fruit that one would consider "tasty". Sometimes they are better used in teas or jellies. However, wildlife do enjoy them!
