Apple Issues

Asked September 11, 2019, 1:16 PM EDT

Our client brought in these apples (gala and macintosh). They have pits in the skin and the mac gets rotten spots on it. The trees are about 10 years old and it has been going on since the trees started producing fruit.

The indentations in the first picture are due to tarnished plant bug, the leaf feeding is likely a leaf roller or japanese beetle. The third looks like it has an oriental fruit moth larvae entry near the stem and multiple plum curculio scars causing the indentations. Not sure what caused the big dark brown bump without cutting it open to see. These are common problems on trees with minimal spray programs.
