It seems as though I have twenty different species of bees on my sedum this time of year. I want to spray a weed killer on my yard to clear out the crabgrass. Although the sedum is in a separate bed, is there any chance the weed killer sprayed nearby could harm the bees?

Hello! Nice to hear that the bees are enjoying your sedum! Herbicides applied to grassy weeds should have no effect on pollinators, since they don't visit those flowers. However, the crabgrass will die with the coming cold, and has already set plenty of seed to return with a vengeance next year. A better option to manage crabgrass is to apply a pre-emergent herbicide early next spring, according to label instructions.
