We recently planted a sunflower and the leaves are being eaten with sunflower beetles. What can we use to get rid of the sunflower beetles?

Nothing. Any product you would use to treat a sunflower will most likely have harmful effects on the pollinators that visit the flower. Furthermore, some birds will eat sunflower seeds and if it is treated with insecticides then the birds would be needlessly exposed to pesticides. If soapy water were to be used, it could cause foliage or flower petal burn (flower/plant not look as nice afterwards) thus it would defeat the purpose. Unfortunately, you'll need to tolerate some incidental feeding that has no impact on the health of the plant.
