I recently purchased a new heavy gauge aluminum dutch oven with ceramic non-stick coating. Contains no PFOA or PTFE. Is it safe to cook vegetable soup or anything with tomatoes in this pan? If not, what is the best type pan for cooking with tomatoes? Thank you

The ceramic (i.e. glass) lining in your cookware creates a barrier between the acidic food and the aluminum container. Ceramics are appropriate for use with acidic products like tomatoes. To confirm appropriate or intended use for this or any other cookware, you can review "use and care instructions" or contact the manufacturer.
