Feeding monarchs with cuttings

Asked August 17, 2019, 8:20 AM EDT

I have instars ready to move to a tent. I have read conflicting information about bleaching the cuttings before putting them in for the cats. If someone could either share an answer or a resource person today that would be very much appreciated. I have about 14 instars. Thanks so much

Hi - We do not recommend bleaching the cuttings. You should provide fresh milkweed cuttings for the caterpillars daily. Here is information on how to rear monarchs responsibly. https://xerces.org/2018/09/11/keep-monarchs-wild/
