How long does canned apple cider last
We have been making our own apple cider this year. We’ve been heating it to at least 160 degrees and then putting it in hot, sterilize jars and then putting on sterilized lids and rings and processing them in a water bath for 5 minutes then turning off the heat and letting the jars to sit in the hot water for 5 minutes. How long can we expect the cider to be good for, both if it’s refrigerated and unrefrigerated? Thank you

The shelflife of apple cider is not any different than other home preserved foods. If stored under ideal conditions (dark, cool, etc), then your cider have the best quality if consumed within 1 year and should be used within 2 years.
