How do I clean up snake venom

Just picked up a toad in my yard that was bit by a rattlesnake worried if the snake Venom gets on my hand how do I clean it up off of my hand

Thank you for your question. To remove and snake venom that may have come in contact with your skin, simply wash your hands thoroughly with soap and warm water. As long as you don't have any open wounds on your hands, you shouldn't have any problems. Also, if the toad was bitten, and the snake injected venom, the venom is going to be inside the toad, not on the surface of the toad's skin. It's also a good idea to wash your hands after handling toads, as many species secrete toxins from glands on their skin that serve as a natural defense against predators.
