Lilac blight?

Asked August 9, 2019, 7:58 PM EDT

These lilacs were planted in mid June this year. The leaves started to curl and got black spots on them. Now leaves are dying and tips of branches are getting black. Weather has been pretty much dry and hot since planting. I was watering them 2-3 times a week initially. I thought I was over watering them so cut back to a 7-10 day schedule. Also tried spraying them with a water,/baking soda solution. Seems to be getting worse. Suggestions?
