Fungus in soil

Asked August 1, 2019, 12:08 PM EDT

Hello, I believe I have fungus in my soil. The soil has white material, and the plants are not doing well at all. How do I eradicate it? I am not willing to use harsh chemicals. Are there natural methods? I'm willing to do some heavy labor if necessary. Thanks!

Hello:

Fungi are a natural and desirable component of soil and no practical means to eradicate them exists.A few fungi are soil dwelling and cause disease in plants the the overwhelming majority are beneficial and desirable. The white growth is quite common and I do not associate that with disease problems. Please contact me directly at my email so we can discuss the plant problems you are experiencing.
