Our Cherry Blossom Tree leaves become yellow

Asked July 31, 2019, 7:14 PM EDT

Some of the leaves of all 3 of our cherry blossom trees started turning yellow recently. Could you tell me possible causes and remedies? Thank you so much!

Looks like the foliage in the photo of the cherry tree has been subject to a fungal disease called cherry leaf spot. This has been common this season due to the abundant moisture we received. The fungus overwinters on fallen leaves, and good control can be achieved by raking and removing all fallen cherry leaves from the planting area. No chemical control is recommended.
