Ground Cherry Plant Disease

Asked July 29, 2019, 1:56 PM EDT

To Whom It May Concern, This is my second year growing ground cherries. I had a wonderful crop last year and no issues. This year, the new plants I planted and the plants coming up from last year all have some type of disease. I have the common questions: What is it? Can I prevent it next year? How can I stop it from spreading? Should I destroy all the plants and start over next season? I planted two plants in my garden and four in pots on the deck. All the plants in the garden are infected and one plant on the deck is just now starting to get the same spots. Please help! Thank you, Kristin Badger
