Hi. Without a close-up photo and an idea of size, I can only hazard a guess. It looks like it is a fuzzy caterpillar, so it could pertain to some type of tussock moth (family Erebidae). Ohio State University’s Buckeye Yard and Garden Online newsletter published this nice article on tussock moth caterpillars a few years ago. It includes excellent photographs, so you may be able to recognize what you saw. However, there are many other caterpillars that are hairy (to varying degrees), so there are lots of other possibilities. If you happen to see another caterpillar (or something else) in the future that you would like to have identified, it would be good to try to get a close image (if possible; I know this was high off the ground) and to take some information about its size and what plant it was on (if you can identify it; you can also photograph the plant).
