Tree is dropping leaves

Asked July 23, 2019, 11:24 AM EDT

We have a tree out front, we moved in our home in Oct of 2015. For the last two years it has been dropping leaves really early. I think it has a disease and was wondering what I could do to make it more healthy. Thanks for your help!!

Looks like the foliage in the photo of the cherry tree has been subject to a fungal disease called cherry leaf spot. This has been common this season due to the abundant moisture we received. The fungus overwinters on fallen leaves, and good control can be achieved by raking and removing all fallen cherry leaves from the planting area. No chemical control is recommended.
