Black tipped leaves on weeping cherry tree cuttings

Asked July 21, 2019, 4:41 PM EDT

The very end of the leaves of 4 weeping cherry trees I have cut to propagate they are turning black. What is causing this?

The cause is most likely water related. Make sure the plants receive adequate water during dry spells and the soil is well drained. Apply a two to four inch layer of mulch around the base of the tree with pien straw or pine bark.
