What is causing this problem on a few of my tomatoes
Hi- this is called "catfacing" and is thought to result from cool spring temperatures (under 50-55 degrees F.) interfering with flower parts leading to distorted fruit growth. This can happen even before buds appear. In this case, you should remove the fruits as they will not have much value upon ripening. Pull these fuits as soon as you see them appear. There is no cure. Later fruits should be ok. Try planting later next year.
