Do you have a brand of organic fertilizer that you recommend for gardens?

As University of Minnesota Extension Service volunteers, we don't provide brand-name recommendations.

When selecting any fertilizer, organic or not, your goal should be to meet the nutrient requirements of your site. You can only determine that by having your soil tested. If you have not already done so, here is a link to the University of Minnesota Soil Testing Laboratory that will tell you how to go about it:

There are many organic sources for plant nutrients. These include blood meal, bone meal, cottonseed meal, fish emulsion, alfalfa meal, and many others. Read here for an extensive list:
