My " big Bertha" pepper is not big

Asked July 12, 2019, 12:53 PM EDT

I bought a pepper plant from my local home and garden store. I thought I was getting a green pepper. The pepper only grew a little and then turned red. Question is... Is the pepper done growing?

Thank you for your question. We can't tell from the photo how big it is now, although the ad for the seeds says: "Huge peppers are 6 to 7 inches long by 4 inches wide, 3 to 4 lobed with thick, meaty walls. Harvest when glossy green or after they have turned deep bright red. The productive plants are 25 to 30 inches tall." It would be helpful to know how much fertilizer and water you've given the plant, since even the largest of fruits do not produce as predicted without those. Thanks!
