Nasturtiums pest control

Asked July 10, 2019, 7:28 PM EDT

I am in Montgomery Co Maryland. I started some nasturtiums from seed and the plants are a few weeks old. I noticed some squiggly track marks on the leaves. I assume it’s some bug, but how do I protect the plants?

What you are seeing is the work of leafminers.
They are not of great concern. You don't have to do anything, but you can pinch the leaf to kill them or just remove those leaves and throw them away.

Nasturtium don't love the heat of summer and may seem stressed and prone to decline soon.
