invasive grass in an agricultural pond

Asked July 9, 2019, 2:35 PM EDT

There is an invasive grass? all of a sudden growing in my agricultural pond which is 1/2 acre. It is a single spike 10' tall with seed heads on the end. The pond is 45 years old, this is new to the pond. What is it and how to get rid of it because it is taking over the pond

Since your pond is agricultural, not ornamental, I want to refer you to the Jackson County agriculture agent, Gordon Jones. His direct phone no is 541-776-7371, extension 230. He may have options for you that are not available to the home gardener.
