Arborviates turning red and brown.

Asked July 8, 2019, 11:57 PM EDT

I have 33 emerard green arborvities, 1 of them has turned red and brown. 2nd one is brown. I was told by the nursery to spray neem oil. Ive been doing so and pruned the red/dead parts. But Im worried about losing the 2. Help.

Thank you for your question. I’m afraid we need more information to diagnose and provide advice. When used correctly, neem oil kills fungi, insects and mites, but you can’t solve a problem that hasn’t been identified. I suggest you take photos and plant samples to your county Extension office for assistance. Here is their webpage: http://ccesuffolk.org/ Good luck!
