I have 2 hibiscus rosa-sinensis in planters on my open porch . the planters are too big to bring in the house . will they live through our winter out side or should i put them in smaller pot and find someplace to put them in the house ?

These are tropical hibiscus. They will completely die if the temperatures go down to 25 degrees, which is likely to happen most winters.

Yes, we'd recommend that you plant them in pots that are a manageable size for you, and bring them into the house over the winter. Do this when inside and outdoor temperatures are similar.

These are houseplants.
