Do you have information about retention pond management? Especially erosion control, plantings to help manage water quality, aeration, & treatments.
Stark County Ohio
The state of Ohio doesn't have much good literature on managing erosion around stromwater basins. However, this page by Clemson in South Carolina is a nice summary: https://www.clemson.edu/extension/water/stormwater-ponds/problem-solving/shoreline-erosion/index.htm.... Have a look and let me know if any questions remain to follow.
I also think highly of this document:
U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA). 1997. Ponds—Planning, Design, Construction: Agriculture Handbook 590. USDA, Natural Resources Conservation Service, Washington, D.C.
It discusses managing erosion at some length, but not specifically in association with stormwater retention. If curious, I can send an electronic copy of the USDA handbook by e-mail.
Regarding stormwater ponds generically, this brief article of mine may be of interest, but does not specifically touch on erosion: https://senr.osu.edu/sites/senr/files/imce/files/extension_outreach/ponds_fish_aq_mgmt/OhioPondNews/.... This one might interest you regarding pond plants: https://senr.osu.edu/sites/senr/files/imce/files/extension_outreach/ponds_fish_aq_mgmt/Autumn2017.pd.... Etc.
Finally, consulting on your other topics is a large part of what I do, but would want to discuss specific concerns to determine what advice is appropriate. (FYI, I'm on a salary to do so, so my advice to you is already paid for.) Can you e-mail me directly via the address below?
