Fig tree disease

Asked June 30, 2019, 8:43 PM EDT

I have been feeling this fig tree since it was a foot tall. Last year and this year, it produced beautiful foliage but the foliage quickly started to thin and disintegrate along the edges. Last year this started while it was still in the sun room. This year it was triggered by my putting it outside in full sun. I thought the leaves would drop and then grow in but they've turned thin and brittle, and appear to be disintegrating at the edges. It also looks like some of the tips of the twigs are dried out and hollow, sometimes with the bark missing.
