Blackberries not ripening correctly

Asked June 30, 2019, 4:13 PM EDT

Hi, these are the berries I'm getting this year. None of them are doing well. But the bush seems fine. No eggs, or stink bugs. I spray with neem oil. But nothing send to be making the berries ripen correctly. Please help!

Baltimore County Maryland blackberries small fruits white drupelet disorder

This looks like white drupelet disorder, or sunburn. This can occur during periods of dry, sunny, breezy, hot weather. Individual drupelets become white or tan in color and hard. If a small percentage of the drupelets are affected, the fruit is still edible and can also be used in recipes.
