What happened to my peach tree?

Asked June 19, 2019, 3:34 PM EDT

I had a self pollinating peach tree for about 8 years. What little fruit I got was delicious! It succumbed to a white fungus, and was devoured by beetles. Can I replant something in the same spot?

Peach trees aren't reliably hardy here, so congratulations on your tree lasting 8 years. You can plant another tree, but not in exactly the same spot. I'd move it a few feet. Read here:

There are many Minnesota hardy fruit trees that might be suitable (cherry, plum, apple, even apricot), or you could try another peach if you are adventuresome.
