Pest infestation

Asked June 19, 2019, 3:21 PM EDT

I have a large Viburnum tinus that has white cottony spots on the underside of the plant. Can you ID what it is and what should I do to remove/control it?

Viburnum plants sometimes get scale insects, and the cottony type could be on your plant. Perhaps you can post a photo or two here? The county Extension Service Master Gardener Volunteers are also available to examine a sample and offer you advice to deal with the pest. https://extension.oregonstate.edu/mg/metro/have-gardening-question
