Excessive drop of Kousa dogwood seed balls and stems
We have had a Kousa dogwood for more than 20 yrs. I have never seen such a big drop of immature seed balls. Can you suggest a cause?

There may be several reasons for fruit drop. This could be a stress sign such as overly wets soils and poor drainage. Or could be due to a self thinning of the fruit we cannot say for sure.
