This bird has come to my yard every everyday for the last couple days. I have lived here for several years and I have never seen one before I mentioned it to a family member and showed him a picture and he mentioned they are not native to Maryland and I should report it to someone. I live in Edgewood Maryland near the Flying Point Marina.

Yes, it is true that pheasants are not native to Maryland. But there is no need for concern or to report it. They used to be much more numerous but hunting and loss of habitat have reduced their numbers. Enjoy it when you see it.
